Basic requirements to use Phase DJ Controller

Also, to use Phase with Traktor Pro, you'll need a DVS interface. Since Traktor has opened DVS compatibility, it should work with any DVS interface or sound card.

If your current setup has all three above, let’s get started!

Set up Phase with Traktor Pro with a DVS interface

To illustrate the process, we'll be using a Traktor Kontrol Z2 as an example, but any DVS mixer compatible with Traktor Pro can be set up in the same way!

Follow these step-by-step instructions:

  1. Power your Phase Receiver via USB to any power supply (5V).
  2. Plug the RCA cables from the Phase Receiver to the "Line" inputs of your mixer.
  3. Connect your mixer to your laptop via USB as usual.
  4. Make sure to set the PH/LN switch on “LN,” then click the Traktor button next to the PH/LN switch to enable DVS mode.
  5. Select the “Traktor” DVS signal in the Phase Manager "Setup" tab.
  6. Now, place your Phase Magnetic Stickers and then the Remotes on top of your records and wait a few seconds for the calibration to complete before you start spinning.

You’re ready to go! After all the steps, it should look like this:
