Starting his journey in Portland around 2000, FlipFlop made his mark in hip‑hop and turntablism. By 2008, he became the official tour DJ for the acclaimed hip‑hop trio CunninLynguists, touring the US and Europe. A decorated battle DJ, he claimed titles such as 2013 LA DMC Regional Champion, 2012 Thud Rumble Dirtstyle Masters Champion, and 2012 A3C Needle 2 the Record Champion. He also earned runner-up positions at both the DMC Supremacy Finals and Skratcher LA Battle in 2016. Since 2019, he’s been sharing his craft as an instructor at the Beat Junkie Institute of Sound in Los Angeles, while still dropping cutting-edge scratch tools and music for DJs around the world.
