If your current setup has all three above, let’s get started!
Set up Phase with DVS Mixer and Rekordbox
To make it simple, we'll use the Pioneer DJM-900 NXS2 mixer as an example, but rest assured, any DVS mixer compatible with Rekordbox can be set up in the same way!
Now, let's get started with the step-by-step instructions:
- Connect your Phase to a power supply (5V) using a USB cable.
- Plug your Phase Receiver into your mixer's Line inputs via RCA. Choose either 1/2 or 2/3 based on your preference.
- Connect the USB cable from your mixer to your laptop and set the Deck source selector on USB (A or B) to activate DVS Mode.
- In Rekordbox, navigate to "Audio Settings" and select "DJM900-NXS2" as the Audio Interface.
- Then, head to the "DVS" tab and make sure the DVS function is on. Choose "CDJs" instead of "Turntables" in the control hardware tab of the DVS settings.
- Check that the audio routing matches your mixer decks (1/2 or 2/3) and set the virtual decks to "Relative" mode.
- In the Phase Manager's "Setup" tab, select the "Rekordbox" DVS signal.
- Now, place your Phase Magnetic Stickers and then Phase Remotes on top of your records and wait a few seconds for the calibration to complete before you start spinning.
After the steps, your setup should look like this:
And that’s it! You’re ready to rock with Phase and your Rekordbox setup!
